20th meeting of IT Club took place in Tsakhkadzor 20th meeting of IT Club took place in Tsakhkadzor

First time in Tsakhkadzor took place 20th meeting of IT Club, which gathered around ICT students, professionals and heads of IT companies.

The mission of IT club is to promote the development of Armenian IT sector. This was told by co-founder of IT Club Arman Atoyan during the interview with NEWS.am - Innovation correspondent.

"IT Club gathers people interested in Information Technologies and together we try to discuss IT sector problems. This time the main topic of the meeting is the problems of founding start-up companies." - said Arman Atoyan.

"In our youth there is a fear from enterpreneurship. Fears are mostly from relationships with tax and economic fields. Young people have opinion that without having a sponsor it's not possible to operate in Armenia"- said USAID CAPS project's IT Cluster coordinator Armen Abrahamyan, though, mentioning that within the last year were created several start-up companies, where are mostly employed young professionals until 26 years old. "The most important factor is the belief in the possibility of founding and operating business in today's Armenian economic environment" - said Armen Abrahamyan, adding that the meeting in Tsakhkadzor is especially important for those young people, as far as they have an opportunity to address their questions directly to the heads of Armenian IT companies and learn from their experience.

"We have highly-qualified professionals both in sales, and project implementation fields, and not only enterpreneurs, but also excellent managers" - summarized Armen Abrahamyan.

By the way, the 20th meeting of IT Club in Tsakhkadzor was financed by USAID CAPS project.

Also we want to mention, that IT Club was founded in August 2009 and currently has more than 100 members, among whom are students and representatives of IT companies.
